About This NCAA Core GPA Calculator

This NCAA Core GPA Calculator estimates the academic average used for NCAA initial-eligibility planning. Unlike a high school GPA calculator, it includes only NCAA-approved core courses and tracks the subject-area credits required for Division I or Division II.

Division I currently requires a minimum 2.3 core-course GPA, 16 core credits, and the 10/7 timing requirement. Division II requires a minimum 2.2 core-course GPA and 16 core credits under a different subject distribution. However, this tool cannot decide whether a course is approved or certify eligibility, so compare every entry with your high school's official NCAA course list.
