About This ACT Superscore Calculator

This ACT Superscore Calculator helps students combine their strongest section results from multiple ACT test dates. Instead of averaging every test attempt, it identifies the highest eligible English, Math, Reading, and Science scores, then calculates the Composite using the scoring method you select.

Because ACT scoring has changed, the current method uses English, Math, and Reading for the Composite, while the legacy option also includes Science. Therefore, the calculator can help with both recent testing and older score records. College superscore policies still vary, so always confirm how each institution evaluates submitted ACT scores.

How to Use the ACT Superscore Calculator

Follow these steps for an accurate ACT Superscore result

1Choose Current or Legacy Scoring

Use Enhanced ACT for the current English, Math, and Reading Composite. Select Legacy ACT when working with the older four-section method that also includes Science.

2Enter Every ACT Test Date

Add the section scores from each official score report. Rename each row with a date or test label so the records remain easy to compare.

3Add More Tests as Needed

Use Add test date for every ACT administration you want to compare. The calculator automatically finds the highest score in each eligible section.

4Review Your ACT Superscore

Check the combined Composite, highest section scores, best single-test Composite, estimated superscore gain, and STEM score.
